Day 95 - Owl Know How launch

Today, I checked out the launch of Cat Rabbit and Isobel Knowles' gorgeous new book, Owl Know How, with Li Jun.

A collection of the sets, props, bits and bobs as well as all those cute owls that ended up in the book were on exhibition as well. Totally adorable!


Check out all that detail! All this was in a cardboard box the size of a shoebox!



What impressed me most was that the production of the book - that includes everything, from coming up with the storyline, the characters, sewing and creating all the little props and tools and houses and furniture and bringing all the sets to life, to photographing each scene to fill the 32 pages of the book, pretty much took only 2 months!

After the launch, we feasted and drank sangria at an Argentinian find, San Telmo, which turned out to be a mighty tasty surprise! Such a great way to wind down a short week.
