Day 96 - It's my birthday again!

Yes, almost 2 months after my birthday, I get to celebrate it again!

Joanne and I have given each other SO many birthday and Christmas presents over the last... 20 odd years.... that we're pretty sure we've gotten each other almost everything! As picking presents is always a challenge, we usually end up giving presents way past the actual date... but I'm actually not-so-secretly loving this, because it means getting to experience going through my birthday all over again!

Tonight, Jo took me out to Pure South for a really lovely belated birthday dinner. It was perfect - candlelit dinner alongside the picturesque Yarra River with a backdrop of the illuminating Melbourne skyline on a comfortable night of 20 degrees, accompanied with barrels of girly laughter.
Oak-smoked Cape Grim grass fed Black Angus scotch fillet, horseradish & celeriac remoulade, fondant potato and red wine jus for me.

Roast Huon salmon, Tasmanian organic quinoa, macadamia crumble, orange & sea urchin butter for Jo.

And lemon myrtle creme brûlée, sweet and sour fruit jubes with melon sorbet for me!

There were also great birthday goodies to boot - all of which I love. I'm feeling exceptionally spoilt this year!
