Day 19 - Going home

Today, I'm smiling as in a few hours' time I'll be heading home to Penang to spend Chinese New Year with my family.

I'm looking forward to seeing my family (hello brother!), catching up with old friends, gorging on amazing Malaysian food, and of course enjoying the Chinese New Year festivities. It's been a few years since I spent Chinese New Year in Penang... from memory it's stiflingly hot, hectic, chaotic and exhausting, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Bye bye Snowflake, you better be good!

WHAT IS THIS?

Thanks for the smile is my 365 project where I will post something for every day of 2012 to document at least 1 thing that brought a smile to my face that day.

I'm ashamed to admit this but I have a terrible and rather selective memory. I often vividly remember tragic, melancholic things and events instead of the little happy moments I know come by more often than I care to give credit to. This blog is to help me remember, and help me be thankful for the joy in everyday living. I'd love to be able to look back and say "At least 366 things made me smile in the year 2012, I even got a bonus day thrown in since it was a leap year, and on Friday the 27th of April it was....."
